This online community website is being upgraded to spot a new look for the coming new year 2010. When it comes to new look, everything will be very subjective. Some people will like it, many people will not like it. Since we cannot please everybody, this is the new look Desaminium.com until another change takes place.

In 2010, one major new feature will be implemented. Residents who have registered themselves within this online community not only can post comments, they will also be empowered to post their own entries.

When this new capability is implemented, registered member (whether resident or not) can post anything and everything, how ever we are hoping members will exercise great care and will publish only relevant stuff that can benefit all community members.

For example, the residents can post their opinions on certain issue, a news worthy article they would like to share with other residents, buy and sell, apartment for rentals, stories or even a complaint to various bodies which are governing (or not governing) Taman Desaminium. They will also be able to upload interesting photos to share with all residents.

With this new feature, we will potentially face some problems where some residents may post something that are not appropriate due to whatever reasons. To overcome this potential problem, all entries posted by the residents will not be published automatically. It will be put in a pending queue first and will have to be approved by Webmaster before being published for public viewing.

We will also be assigning special login IDs to certain people with authority to post entries and announcements relevant to their authorities. Such login IDs may be created for currently active and legal governing bodies such as JMB, security, surau and so on.

With these new look and features, we hope this website will return to its previous glory again where residents actively participate to discuss issues affecting them in an open and harmonious manner, online.

We will accept all entries in both Bahasa Melayu and English languages. Regardless of which language you choose to communicate with, we will only accept properly written articles and entries. We certainly do not accept SMS language or any form of writing that do not conform to acceptable and decent standard for both languages.

Last but not least, Desaminium.com will serve both Desaminium Flora and Desaminium Rimba communities, as always been the case.

We use to have an electronic forum where all residents can have any discussions on any topic but that was discontinued as it was hosted by a free web hosting.

Thanks to a suggestion by a resident (Loserkidz) through this blog, we are happy to re-introduce this forum. This time the forum, called Forum Taman Desaminium, is hosted by the same service provider hosting our www.desaminium.com so the Webmaster has full control of the running and administration of the electronic forum.

Please be reminded that the forum members are required to exercise great care during the participation in the discussions in the forum so as not to offend other forum members who are also our neighbours as well.

For security reasons, the forum requires member registration and will be moderated by the forum Administrator. Any member who violated the terms and conditions of the usage of the forum will have to face the prospect of being banned and removal from the forum.

Please take note, the forum had just been created today so there will be ongoing efforts still required to update and improve the forum as we continue to use the new electronic forum.

To: All Desaminium Residents – Salam and Hello to everybody

First of all, I would like to thank Mr Ghaffar for helping me in posting this message. I think it is only appropriate for me to introduce myself, my name is Azley Abd Razak and I am the owner of unit 7-4-1, Block Keruing, Desaminium Rimba.

As some of you may know that last Sunday in the roundabout near Desaminium Flora, my baby brother was involved in a horrific accident. It was the most traumatic experience in my life, as I watched the accident happened with my own eyes and I spent the next 15 minutes kneeling down in the middle of the road trying to revive my baby brother consciousness, he is only 18. It was a horrendous moment for me and my family. I wouldn’t want to wish that to happen to anyone; I wouldn’t even want to wish it to happen to my worst enemy. Alhamdullillah he is conscious now, although badly injured with broken left thigh bone and left arm. Currently he is in the Serdang hospital waiting for surgery. Please pray for his quick recovery. I also would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who was helping me, my brother and my family on that day. I still remember their faces….Thank you so much, I am forever indebted to them.

I guess, I better get to the main issue here. From what I have heard, this is not the first time the accident happens in that particular roundabout (please excuse my ignorance I just got back from UK two days before my brother’s accident happened). In fact, from my knowledge, the accident is about the third or forth in that particular roundabout. In my view, to say that we need to do something about this is an understatement. Therefore, I am proposing to the management, that me and all of us should write a join petition to MPSJ. I will take the initiative to write it. I may need all your help, as I will ask you to sign the petition. I will make this happen, trust me……

I am open to any suggestion on how we should go about on this matter. My mom already had a conversation with sergeant Mahadi, he thinks the best idea is probably a combination of painting the road with yellow lines and bumpers. My apology as this request had been sent to me earlier but due to technical reasons, arrived tomy email today and can only be published today.

First of all, I would like to apologize to all Desaminium residents because due to technical reasons, a lot of emails were not delivered to my email mailbox which I only realized today. There are all sort of contents in those emails ranging from complaints, unit for rentals and wanted for rentals etc. I will need some time to get this organized and with current workload this will be quite a challenge but I will try my best to accomplish what I had voluntarily undertaken to do… so there is no excuse….

I am of course very happy that this website is used by a growing number of residents and I hope this trend will get better as we continue to live in this ‘resort living’ Taman Desaminium…

I also noticed there are a lot of emails intended to be received by JMB but were sent to me at webmaster email and this is surely not effective as those emails should have gone to JMB direct. I will try to come up with a solution to this and will make an announcement soon.

There are also a lot of rental announcements sent to Webmaster directly and over time maintaining these requests can become out of control so I am also going to make some changes in the way rental announcements will be handled at our website.

While we welcome all suggestions and comments in this website, I, again, would like to reiterate the importance of using appropriate language so as not to annoy or offend any of the residents who are also our neighbours.

Last but not least, I am also planning to put up new design to our website as the current theme is already quite old, but that has to wait until I am all done with what I have set my self to do above.
