I am sure all Desaminium owners agree that we are short changed by Desaminium with regards to the high maintenance charges. The facilities that are accorded to the residents are also very much to be desired, to say the least. We were promised condominium facilities and yet what do we get? Other condominiums have everything but our condominium has nothing. Even some medium cost apartments near our our place has more facilities… what a shame to have name such as Taman Desaminium. Maybe Desaminium Jaya should change this project to Taman DesaMINIMUM… that will be more appropriate.

PPTD and PreMC have long recognized this problem and had always been at the forefront in fighting for residents rights to fair charges. However, maybe some residents fail to realize that…. the reasons maybe because there is nothing seem to be done by either PPTD or PreMC.

Well folks, this two-page letter from Kementerian Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan (KPKT) is the proof that PreMC and the Chairman, despite being questioned in this very forum as not having high integrity and what not, cares about the residents and had done something about the high maintenance charges problem.

Because of the complaint lodged by PreMC, the Enforcement Division of KPKT had sent the letter of demand to Desaminium Jaya to furnish them with relevant documents related to the statement of expenses accounts and the audited accounts from Desaminium Jaya.

Once we receive the relevant document, we will publish the documents for all residents to see and judge how fair/reasonable or unfair/unreasonable these maintenance charges imposed by Desaminium on residents.

We would like to stress again, controrary to some popular belief, PreMC and PPTD are two functioning bodies representing all Taman Desaminium residents, although the two associations appear to be run by certain individuals only… but that is because not all elected office bearers are committed enough to work within the team.

If only ALL residents are also committed in supporting the PPTD and PreMC…. we could have achieved much more.

Latest news from PreMC Chairman En Ghaffar. Rapid KL bus service from Puncak Jalil to Serdang Commuter Station via Desaminium Flora started today 21st April 2007. Thanks to PreMC and PPTD for their efforts to bring this much needed service to Taman Desaminium folks. Thanks also to En Azaruddin from Blok Merbau who had been helping En Ghaffar taking relevant photos to be submitted to Rapid KL sometimes last year.

There is some hiccup though. In the original submission by PreMc and PPTD, the bus service is supposed to serve right through to the entrance of Desaminium Rimba, however due to the presence of horizontal steel bar near the round about at the entrance to Taman Desaminium, the bus service can only do it’s round at the roundabout next to Desaminium Flora. En Ghaffar had informed that PreMC and PPTD will write to YBR to remove the steel bar to allow the bus to ply its route right to the entrance of Desaminium Rimba. Let’s hope YBR will respond to this request positively.

Controrary to some allegations that PreMC and PPTD don’t do much for the residents, the results just show otherwise. PreMC and PPTD care for the residents. If only the residents give their care as much as the PreMC and PPTD do, we will achieve much better results.
